COLUMBIA — For the second consecutive season, Missouri gymnast Mary Burke has been named to the All-Big 12 Gymnastics team.

Burke, a junior, was recognized Wednesday for her performance on beam and in the all-around. She was one of five Big 12 gymnasts to be honored in multiple events.

The All-Big 12 Gymnastics team is based on regional qualifying scores, which are averaged from five scores from competition during the season, and the team consists of the top four gymnasts in each event in addition to two all-around competitors.

Burke is No. 3 in the conference on beam. Twice this season she finished a routine with a score of 9.9 — a career high. In the all-around, Burke ranks No. 2 in the conference.
