ST. LOUIS — Protesters briefly interrupted an appearance by Gov. Jay Nixon in St. Louis.

Nixon was taking questions Friday at an event hosted by the St. Louis Business Journal at St. Louis University when about 20 protesters walked into the auditorium chanting. The protesters were from the group Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch said they were protesting foreclosures and bank bailouts.

An officer from the Missouri State Highway Patrol escorted the protesters out without incident after about a minute inside the auditorium.
