Figueroa and Bouchard earn seconds at NCAA swimming championships

Two members of the Missouri women's swimming and diving team took second place at the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Austin, Texas this weekend.

On Friday, freshman Loren Figueroa placed second in the 1-meter dive with a 335.30, a new school record. Olympian Kelci Bryant of Minnesota won the event with a 349.65. 

On Saturday, sophomore Dominique Bouchard placed second in the 200-meter backstroke with a personal best 1:52.02. Wisconsin's Maggie Meyer won the event in 1:50.76.

Missouri finished in a tie with North Carolina for 23rd place.
