LETTER: Anthony's decision-making skills make her stand out in Fifth Ward election

Friday, March 25, 2011 | 1:30 p.m. CDT

I am writing to strongly encourage residents in Columbia’s Fifth Ward to vote for Helen Anthony for Columbia City Council on April 5. Helen is committed to working with residents to represent our interests and will work to tackle the issues of a smaller city with big plans.

Helen’s work on the Planning and Zoning Commission, many volunteer activities and experience as an attorney wouldbring desirable characteristics to the City Council. Her decision-making ability, as well as dedication to research on relevant issues, make Helen Anthony stand out as a candidate who deserves our votes.

Tootie Burns lives in Columbia's Fifth Ward.
