Two men rob northern Boone County convenience store Friday night

COLUMBIA — Two armed men robbed a northern Boone County convenience store Friday night.

About 10:15 p.m., a call to the Boone County Sheriff's Department reported a robbery at the FastLane 66 convenience store, 7701 Roanoke Drive, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Department.

Store clerks told responding deputies that two men had entered the store, shown handguns and demanded cash, according to the release. The clerks also told deputies that the two men left after taking an undisclosed amount of money, according to the release.

The Sheriff's Department requested in the release that anyone who witnessed the incident or with any information should contact 875-8477, or go to or and fill out the anonymous tip form.
