LETTER: Missourian's article on Rick McGuire shows his value to MU athletics

Monday, March 28, 2011 | 4:25 p.m. CDT

I am a sports psychologist at Penn State. You really captured the essence of what MU sports psychologist Rick McGuire does and the type of values-based, passionate professional he is in your March 21 article.

Missouri is lucky to have such a wonderful resource continuing to leave a valuable imprint within the athletics department. The fact that he can serve both as a mentor for coaches and as a resource for teams and student-athletes is a testament to the visionary leadership the Missouri athletics department offers.

Job well done with the article.
