Chelsea Thomas lost her first game in 14 starts in the Missouri softball team's 3-2 defeat to Baylor on Saturday in Waco, Texas. Thomas, who gave up 10 hits in six 1/3 innings, fell to 13-3 this season.
Catherine Lee's two-out single down the left-field line drove in Jenna Marston and Ashley to give the No. 11 Tigers an early lead 2-0 lead. But No. 17 Baylor (28-5, 2-1 in the Big 12) scored runs in the third, fifth and seventh to rally past Missouri, which fell to 27-5, and 4-1 in conference competition.
Missouri is set to play the second game of its two-game series at Baylor at noon Sunday.
