MU softball team splits series at Baylor

The Missouri softball team won 6-0 over Baylor on Sunday to split a two-game series against the Bears in Waco, Texas.
Sophomore Chelsea Thomas struck out 11 and walked two in a complete-game four-hit performance that moved her to 14-3 this season. No. 11-ranked Missouri improves to 28-5 overall and 5-1 in Big 12 Conference play.
The Tigers scored four runs in the third inning. Jenna Marston doubled then scored on an error, then Nicole Hudson hit her sixth home run of the season, scoring three more runs. Abby Vock hit a two-out, two-run double in the seventh.
Missouri finishes a 10-game road trip with a doubleheader at Evansville set to start at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
