LETTER: Bowers, English and Denmon represent class
Thursday, April 7, 2011 | 4:33 p.m. CDT
COLUMBIA — Thanks and appreciation are due to the three MU basketball players who appeared with Mike Alden at the press conference announcing Mike Anderson's departure.
Laurence Bowers, Kim English and Marcus Denmon were strong, articulate and caring young men as they spoke of their feelings. We were saddened for them as they spoke of losing their coach. We were proud of them as they spoke of their loyalty to Mizzou.
The new coach will have these outstanding young men to support him and work with him to build a successful team for our university. They are a class act.
Moray Loring Kiehl lives in Columbia.
