COLUMBIA — A man found with methamphetamine and ecstasy was arrested Thursday night outside the McDonald's on Smiley Lane.

Ralph Eugene Carter, 46, of Sturgeon, was arrested on suspicion of possession and distribution of a controlled substance, according to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff's Department. The methamphetamine looked like it was packaged for sale, the release stated.

Carter, who had a previous probation and parole violation, was taken to the Boone County Jail. He was being held without bond on that violation.
