Friday, April 15, 2011 | 4:06 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — Work will begin Monday to install a new traffic signal cabinet and flashing yellow arrows at the intersection of Providence Road and Vandiver Drive. If weather permits, the work will be completed by Friday, according to a news release.

While the work is being done, the signals will be flashing and all-way stops will be implemented, as well as lane closures on Providence Road for part of the time. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to use an alternate route if possible and exercise caution while in the work zone.
