Missouri men's golf team leads after day one of Iowa Invitational

The Missouri men's golf team has a one-shot lead over No. 11 Iowa following Saturday's play at the Iowa Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa.

Missouri leads the event after shooting 297 and junior Nick Wilson carded the best round of the day with a 2-under-par 70.

Iowa sits in second with a day-one score of 298 and No. 38 North Texas is in third after shooting 304.

Sophomore Stuart Ballingall shot a 3-over-par 75 to tie for fifth, while freshman Emilio Cuartero and sophomore Jace Long shot identical rounds of 76 to tie for ninth.

The Missouri men’s golf team has won four consecutive tournaments coming into the weekend.

The tournament's final round will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday.
