Missouri softball beats No. 14 Nebraska 4-1

The No. 8 Missouri softball team beat No. 14 Nebraska 4-1 in Lincoln on Saturday.
Sophomore pitcher Chelsea Thomas (21-4) did not allow a hit until the sixth inning of the game. She pitched a complete game, allowed two hits and one run, and struck out nine batters.
The Tigers' (38-6) first run of the game came in a fifth inning off a home run by senior second baseman Abby Vock. It was Vock's fourth home run of the season. She was 2-for-3 in the game and scored two runs.
Sophomore Jenna Marston went 2-for-4 and was the only other Tiger with multiple hits.
Junior Ashley Fleming also had a two-RBI single for the Tigers in the seventh inning.
Missouri returns home on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. game against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.
