Columbia elementary school participates in earthquake drill

COLUMBIA — Paxton-Keeley Elementary School was among the local participants in the multi-state Great American Shakeout Earthquake Drill.

Donald W. Shaw, vice chairman of the Missouri Seismic Safety Commission and CEO of the Central Electric Power Cooperative, talks with fourth-grade students about how to protect themselves in an earthquake prior to The Great Central U.S. ShakeOut earthquake drill at Paxton Keeley Elementary School on Thursday.
