Missouri track and field posts six top-10 finishes at Drake Relays

The Missouri track and field team had six top-10 finishes at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday.

Senior Aaron Dixon had a strong day for the Tigers. He placed third in the 800m run in 1 minute, 49.46 seconds. In the 1600m sprint medley relays, Dixon, along with freshman Tre Chambers and seniors Mark Hughes and Chris Davis, finished second in 3:18.40, over two seconds behind Iowa.

Senior Chris Holly finished eighth in the hammer throw, with a toss of 63.32 meters (207-09), a personal best.

On the women's side, juniors Sierra Grant, Layne Moore and Leslie Farmer, and freshman Lauren Flaker took six overall in the 1600m sprint medley relay with a time of 3:55.81. 

Laura Roxberg finished 10th in the 1500m in 4:25.47, a personal best.

Saturday was the fourth and final day of the Drake Relays.

Missouri's next meet is the Big 12 Outdoor Championships on May 13, 14 in Norman, Okla.
