COLUMBIA — An Arkansas man was sentenced to 52 years in prison Wednesday after a Boone County jury convicted him on charges of statutory rape, child molestation and felony child endangerment.

Police arrested Jon Paul Reid, 40, in August after his adopted daughter reported she had been sexually assaulted by Reid at a residence in Sturgeon, according to a previous Missourian article. The victim was 10 years old at the time of the initial assault in 2008, according to the news release.

Reid faced similar charges in Sebastian County, Ark., involving the same victim.
