Hickman track and field team competes in last meet of regular season

The Hickman High School track and field team participated in a dual boys and girls meet against the Jefferson City Jays on Friday.

For the girls, Kasey Nichols finished first in the high jump and Victoria Jackson finished first in the long jump and the 100-meter hurdles.

Corey Potter finished first and Hannah Corbin finished second in the 300-meter hurdles. Taalor Stevenson finished first and Darriana Wilson finished second in the 200-meter race.

In addition, Sarah Hall claimed the top spot in both discus and shot put and Madison May was second in the 1600 meters.

The Kewpies also finished first in two relays. Darriana Wilson, Taalor Stevenson, Victoria Jackson and Tiana Schimming made up the first-place 4 x 400 team. Corey Potter, Taalor Stevenson, Hannah Corbin and Tiana Schimming took first in the 4 x 400 relay.

For the boys, Tyler Sprigg was first in the high jump, Alex Nail was first in the 1600 meters and Jacob Line was first in the 3200 meters. Daniel Lindaman was second in the 1600 meters and Josh German finished first in discus and second in shot put.

One boys relay team took first place for the Kewpies in the 4 x 800. That team consisted of Ethan Zars, Daniel Lindaman, Alex Nail and Devin Sander.

The Kewpies will compete in districts next Saturday at Rock Bridge High School.
