COLUMBIA — St. Louis’ KTRS The Big 550 AM will be the new radio partner for Missouri football and men’s basketball broadcasts beginning this fall.

The agreement was announced Wednesday by Mizzou Sports Properties, MU's exclusive multimedia and marketing partner.

KTRS will carry all MU football, men’s basketball, “Tiger Talk” coaches’ shows, and “Tiger Update” daily reports as part of a multi-year agreement with the Tiger Network. Mizzou Sports Properties, the locally based entity of collegiate multimedia rights leader Learfield Sports, manages all aspects of the broadcasts, as well as the Tiger Network.

Context, please. Which STL station lost the rights? KMOX? If so, KTRS has one-tenth the power of KMOX (5 kW vs. 50 kW), so wouldn't this be a negative for MU in the sense that KTRS's signal can't cover the entire STL metro?
