COLUMBIA — An MU employee, Charles W. Fay, was arrested *Wednesday by the Fulton Police Department on a charge of stalking.

Fulton police arrested Fay after investigating a report filed April 7. An unidentified recipient said he or she was sent 358 "harassing emails" in 90 minutes, according to a Fulton Police news release.

Police tracked the e-mails to a computer at MU in the agriculture department. Fay's computer and login ID were used to send the e-mails.

Fay, a known acquaintance of the recipient, is listed on the university's website as an office support staff member in the Office of Vice Chancellor and Dean in the agriculture department.

The investigation is ongoing.
