Potential exists for flooding after heavy rains

COLUMBIA — The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for urban and small streams for Boone County until 8:30 p.m. Friday.

The Boone County Office of Emergency Management is asking motorists and those living near streams and creeks to exercise caution throughout the evening, according to a news release.

The forecast calls for more rain over the next 12 to 24 hours.
