Rock Bridge golfers in second after first round of state meet

The Rock Bridge boys golf team is in a two-way tie for second place after the first round of the Class 4 state championship Monday at Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield, Mo.

Parkway South leads the nine-team field at 311. Rock Bridge is tied with Francis Howell at 320, and Ozark is fourth at 321.

Wilson Sundvold had the best performance among the Bruins golfers with a 76 that tied him with DeSmet's Scott Hamel for sixth.

Hickman's Tyler Daly, who is competing as an individual, is in a five-way tie for eighth at 77.

Parkway South's Kyle T. Weldon leads with a 70.

Play resumes at 8 a.m. Tuesday with the second and final round.
