KANSAS CITY — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for an area that includes downtown Kansas City.
The service says the storm approaching the city from the south has a history of producing funnel clouds and is expected to reach downtown by 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.
In suburban Johnson County, Kan., south of the city, County Director of Emergency Managment Nick Crossley says no touchdowns have been confirmed as of late morning.
