BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The Oklahoma medical examiner's office has raised the state death toll from tornado strikes earlier this week to 10.
Spokeswoman Cherokee Ballard said Thursday that a child was found dead. She said she doesn't know the child's name or gender, or where the child's body was found.
Authorities in the Piedmont area have been searching for a 3-year-old boy who has been missing since the tornado destroyed his home Tuesday. The boy's 15-month-old brother was killed, and his mother and another sibling were seriously injured.
The storms that spawned the deadly tornadoes killed at least 16 people in three states on Tuesday and Wednesday.
