PHOTO GALLERY: Preparations under way for Elderberry Festival

Melanie June Schmitz, Adam Roehlke, Stephen Erangy and Sean Erickson set up one of the two music stages for the Elderberry Festival. The festival will feature 30 bands over four days.

The Elderberry Festival is scheduled to take place from Thursday to Sunday outside of Hartsburg. Day passes range between $10 and $15, and a four-day pass is $40. The festival features food, crafts, kids activities and live music.

Shawn Lock talks to a customer about River Hills Harvest Elderberry jams and juices. They are one of about a dozen vendors that will be on site for the Hartsburg Elderberry Festival, June 9-12.
