The Missouri State Senior Games began on Friday, June 10, at 18 venues around Columbia. Athletes age 50 and above are competing in 20 different sports throughout the weekend. Horseshoes competitor Duane Shaw of Kansas City travels the country every year to participate in similar events nationwide. Besides horseshoes, he also bowls and plays basketball, softball and football.
