ROCK PORT — The Missouri State Highway Patrol is closing Interstate 29 in northwest Missouri near Rock Port, about 65 miles north of St. Joseph.

The interstate closed Wednesday morning at its intersection with U.S. Highway 136 because of the risk of floodwaters crossing the highway. Both northbound and southbound lanes are closed.

The patrol says the interstate will remain closed until the flooding threat is gone.
