JOPLIN — Former Sen. John Danforth and Sen. Roy Blunt are scheduled to be in Joplin on Monday.

Blunt said in a statement that he and Danforth will make an announcement about recovery efforts in Joplin from the May 22 EF-5 tornado.

Danforth has most recently been active in the not-for-profit Danforth Foundation, which closed at the end of May.

The death toll in Joplin from the massive tornado has risen to 154 people.
