Soldier based in Missouri base dies in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON — A soldier based in Missouri is among four who were killed in a vehicle rollover accident in Afghanistan.

The Pentagon said the men died Saturday in Uruzgan province.

They have been identified as 37-year-old Sgt. Edward Dixon III, of Whiteman Air Force Base; 28-year-old Sgt. Alan Snyder, of Blackstone, Mass.; 33-year-old Sgt. 1st Class Alvin Boatwright, of Lodge, S.C.; and 21-year-old Spc. Tyler Kreinz, of Beloit, Wis.

The Pentagon said the soldiers were assigned to the 4th Battalion, 70th Armor Regiment, 170th Infantry Brigade Combat Team in Baumholder, Germany.
