MU Confucius Institute holds first lecture

COLUMBIA — The first lecture at the new Confucius Institute at MU will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday in room 205, Cornell Hall.

Guohui Sun, a Fulbright scholar who is dean of the Business School at Central University of Finance and Economics in China, will make a presentation titled “Outward Foreign Direct Investment from China: Problems and Challenges.” Sun is also the vice director of the China Marketing Association of Universities.

The Office of Vice Provost for International Programs and Trulaske College of Business will host the free event, which inaugurates the Confucius Institute series of lectures.
