UPDATE: Columbia couple drowns in Branson hotel pool

BRANSON — Branson police say a husband and wife from Columbia drowned at a hotel swimming pool.

Branson Police released the names of the as couple as Fanjun Meng, 29, and Chunyang Zhang, 26.

Friends told police the couple went to the Days Inn pool around 9:45 p.m. Saturday and their bodies were discovered around 12:30 in the morning Sunday.

Police said the cause of the drowning is unknown but that there is no sign of foul play.
