COLUMBIA — Missouri sophomore outfielder Blake Brown has been selected to the 2011 California Collegiate League All-Star Game on July 13 in Glendale, Calif.

Brown, the starting right fielder for the Missouri baseball team, will play with the Santa Barbara Foresters this summer. With a perfect fielding percentage this summer, he has started 16 games and has continued to show the extra-base power he displayed during the latter half of last year’s Tiger season.

Brown is hitting .291 with two home runs and has been one of the Foresters’ top runners with 12 RBI and 13 scored runs. He is also slugging .509 with an OBP of .379 with eight walks, along with a perfect 6-6 record in stolen bases. Of his 16 hits in the year, six of them have gone for extra bases, consisting of four doubles, a triple and two home runs.
