Leanna Krogmann welcomed home after Special Olympics World Summer Games

COLUMBIA — The Central Area Special Olympics Missouri will be welcoming Leanna Krogmann home to Columbia after she spent 20 days competing in the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Greece.

The welcoming party will allow Krogmann to share her stories and experiences and display the medals and ribbons she received overseas, including a sixth-place finish in the 100-meter freestyle, a bronze medal in the 100-meter backstroke, a bronze medal in the 200-meter breaststroke and a gold medal in the 4 x 50-meter relay.

The welcoming ceremony will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Central Area office for Special Olympics Missouri, 903 Old 63 N., Suite A.
