COLUMBIA — This year's John Anderson Celebrity Golf Invitational, presented by Midwest Computech, will raise money to help teachers and students rebuild Joplin schools.

The event, hosted by John Anderson, MU graduate and broadcaster on ESPN's "SportsCenter," will start with a celebrity meet and greet from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh Bar and Grill and will continue from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at the Country Club of Missouri.

The Anderson Family Charitable Foundation will also donate $10,000 to the school supply drive.

This year's golf invitational will be headlined by ESPN sports anchor Linda Cohn, former Major League Baseball All-Star Andy Van Slyke and three-time NBA champion and current ESPN analyst Bruce Bowen.

Last year, the first golf invitational attracted more than 200 participants and celebrities and raised more than $30,000.
