Former Missouri pitcher receives Rangers' Minor League Pitcher award

COLUMBIA – Former Missouri baseball pitcher Nick Tepesch has been selected as the Texas Rangers’ Minor League Pitcher of the Month in June.

As a pitcher for the Hickory Crawdads, throwing a total of 36.1 innings in June, Tepesch went 3-0 with a 2.23 ERA and 37 strikeouts against nine walks.

Pitching for Hickory, he is currently 5-3 with a 3.30 ERA and 75 strikeouts in 92.2 innings. He was given South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week honors for June 6-12 after a 10-strikeout performance, a minor-league career best, against Lakewood.
