COLUMBIA – Missouri volleyball middle hitter Brittney Brimmage has been named to the COBRA Magazine Preseason All-National Third Team for the second consecutive season. She is one of 15 players selected to the third team.

Considered one of the Tigers' top returning attackers in 2011, Brimmage finished her 2010 season with 291 kills and a .331 hitting percentage with 119 blocks. She started all 33 games and was named Big 12 Player of the Week for the first time in her career. She is expected to be a big contributor to the Tigers' offense in 2011.

COBRA Magazine focuses on motivating younger African-American players to work hard despite cultural differences and economic disadvantages by showcasing the success of older players.
