No suspect yet in Tuesday stabbing

COLUMBIA — Police are still investigating the stabbing of a 28-year-old man Tuesday night in the 1500 block of Towne Drive.

The male victim, who was stabbed in the back with a 6-inch blade, was found on the ground outside the residence at approximately 11:53 p.m., Public Information Officer Latisha Stroer said.

The victim was taken to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The residence belongs to a 44-year-old woman, who arrived at her home to find police.

There is no official suspect at the time, and the case is still under investigation, Stroer said.

Stroer said there were no indications of a robbery.
