Father dies after trying to rescue son at Ozarks pool

CAMDENTON — An Indiana man died after trying to save his drowning son at a popular resort in the Lake of the Ozarks.

The Camden County Sheriff's Office said 47-year-old Khalid A. Shaltaf, of East Chicago, Ind., died Monday after being hospitalized Sunday.

Shaltaf 's son, 21-year-old Ali Shaltaf, drowned Sunday at The Lodge of Four Seasons after he entered the pool and didn't resurface. Khalid Shaltaf jumped in to try and save his son.
