At 3:47 p.m., police were dispatched to Martinsburg Bank at 205 E. Nifong Boulevard. Employees of the bank told police that a man walked up to the teller window and said he had a gun and demanded money.

No customers were in the bank at the time, and no one was injured, according to a press release from the Columbia Police Department.

The robber left on foot going westbound, the news release said.

Police are still searching for the suspect and ask those with information on the incident to call the police department or Crime Stoppers at 875-8477.
