Columbia "garage band" event to be held in District parking structure

COLUMBIA — Three organizations will host the "Garage Band Bash" on Friday* on the top level of the parking structure at the intersection of Sixth and Cherry streets.

The event will be hosted by the Youth Community Coalition, Columbia Parks and Recreation and the city Public Works Department from 7 to 10 p.m.. Admission is $2.

Teen bands of different genres such as jazz and alternative will be gathering Friday evening. Local bands Guilty Party, Table for 5 and The Word Profit will be feature performances at the event, according to a news release from Columbia Parks and Recreation.
