Scenes from first day of school at MU

Lowry Mall is nearly empty by 6 p.m. as the first day of classes concludes at MU on Monday. Monday also marked the first day of classes for Stephens College and Columbia College. Among the three schools, over 34,000 students are starting fall semester classes in Columbia this week.

MU started classes Monday with a record-setting 33,318 students enrolled.
