With the season opener a little more than a week away, the MU football team is working on its final preparations for the 2011 season. As the season opener approaches, many players are working to make one last move up the depth chart or stay on top of it.

Kip Edwards helps up E.J. Gaines after tackling drills during practice. The two cornerbacks are listed as starters heading into the 2011 season.
Starting tailback Kendial Lawrence bursts through the line during practice. The coaching staff is looking for Lawrence to carry the rushing load throughout the 2011 season.
Defensive backs David Johnson and Randy Ponder run sprint drills during practice.
Tony Randolph drops a pass during practice. Randolph is slated as backup weakside linebacker on the current MU depth chart.
