COLUMBIA — A man told Columbia police he was robbed by five people with two guns at 12:51 a.m. Monday morning in the East Campus neighborhood.
Police spokeswoman Latisha Stroer said five men approached the victim near 1408 University Ave. and demanded he give them money.
Two of the suspects were described as black men in their early 20s who were about 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, with dark skin. They were wearing bandanas around their faces, and each was carrying a gun.
A third suspect was described as a black man, but there were no other details. No descriptions were available for the other two.
Stroer said the men left the area on foot after the victim gave them money. No one was hurt.
