COLUMBIA — Part of College Avenue will be closed for repairs on a sanitary sewer manhole starting at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, said Jill Stedem, public information specialist for the Columbia Public Works Department.

The inside northbound lane of College Avenue between Ash and Walnut streets will be closed that day until 5 p.m., when repairs plan to be finished, Stedem said.

“It’s just part of the normal sewer maintenance that we do. We do this several times each year,” Stedem said.

In case of bad weather, Stedem said the project will be delayed until Sept. 8.
