Columbia College soccer loses to Baker University

Columbia College Soccer lost its first game of the season Saturday, falling 1-0 to the Baker University Wildcats. Baker's Steven Stewart scored the game's only goal in the 30th minute.

On Friday, the Cougars beat Friends University 3-0. Liam Cain, Marko Paunovic, and John Hutchinson all scored goals.  Goalkeeper Matt McKenna had five saves and recorded his second shutout. It was his second career start.

The Cougars, ranked No. 23 in the NAIA, are now 2-1. They travel to Siloam Springs, Ark., next week to play Oklahoma City University at 11 a.m. Friday and John Brown University at 4 p.m. Saturday.
