Columbia College men's soccer team wins in overtime

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College men's soccer team defeated Oklahoma City University 1-0 in overtime Friday afternoon in Siloam Springs, Ark.

After regulation ended in a scoreless tie, the Cougars' Dylan Barduzzi scored 30 seconds into sudden death overtime. Barduzzi's goal came on a through pass by Yudai Yamaguchi.

Although both teams were close in shots taken, the Cougars (3-2) had 15 to the Stars’ 13, Oklahoma City (0-1-1) only put one shot on goal, allowing goalkeeper Matt McKenna to get his third shutout of the season.

On Saturday, Columbia College will face off against John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark. On Wednesday, the Cougars start American Midwest Conference play at home against Benedictine University.
