TEMPE, Ariz —Despite a 14-point, fourth-quarter rally from Missouri, Arizona State defeated the Tigers 37-30 in overtime Friday night on an 11-yard pass touchdown pass into the flat from Brock Osweiler to Jamal Miles.
Set up by a 39-yard Henry Josey run, the Tigers moved the ball 62 yards in 1:10 to set up a 48-yard Grant Ressel field goal attempt with 0:17 remaining that would have put Missouri ahead 33-30.
The Tigers’ late comeback effort began on a 25-yard pass from James Franklin to L’Damian Washington with 12:00 remaining, and the Tigers tied the game on a four-yard hookup between Franklin and Egnew with 2:50 on the clock.
Franklin finished the game with 314 yards and two touchdowns on 25-of-40 passing, to go with 84 rushing yards and a score on the ground. Henry Josey had 94 yards rushing on nine carries.
