The Missouri women's soccer team has developed a winning habit.
The Tigers beat Arizona State 1-0 on Sunday in Tempe, Ariz., to claim first place at the Sun Devil Desert Classic, a weekend mini-tournament which also featured Arizona and Oklahoma.
Freshman forward Abi Raymer's late goal gave Missouri the win. Raymer found the back of the net in the 88th minute with a powerful 25-yard shot. It was her second goal of the season.
The two victories at the Arizona tournament improved Missouri's record to 7-1-0. After losing the season opener, the Tigers have won seven games in a row. They have scored seven goals and conceded none in their past four matches.
Missouri will now head back home for their final two non-conference games of the season. The Tigers face No. 9 Florida at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at Walton Stadium.
