COLUMBIA — Shepard Boulevard Elementary School will host the first-grade Parent Connection during lunch, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. Wednesday at the school.
During Parent Connection, teachers and administrators invite parents to come to Shepard to take part in their children’s education, Shepard first-grade teacher Janine Taylor said. Parent Connections are held monthly for each grade level.
“It is a time for students, parents and teachers to connect and reinforce the partnership we have for a strong school community,” Taylor said.
This month’s Parent Connections will be an informational meeting about the curriculum and procedures for the school year. Parents are encouraged to attend and ask questions, Taylor said.
Parent Connections for other classes are scheduled for later this month. Information on the upcoming Parent Connections for other classes can be found at the school’s calendar.
