SMITHTON: Paxton Keeley Elementary School to hold preview night for parents

Tuesday, September 13, 2011 | 2:59 p.m. CDT

SMITHTON-ROTHWELL HEIGHTS — Parents who have children attending Paxton Keeley Elementary School will have the chance to meet with teachers at Paxton Keeley Preview Night at 7 p.m. Sept. 20.

The event will begin in the gymnasium where parents will attend a brief PTA meeting, then move to classrooms to meet with teachers.

“It is our curriculum night where the teachers go over what will be taught during the school year,” said Elaine Hassemer, principal of Paxton Keeley Elementary. “The teachers explain goals for the students, curriculum areas and how students are assessed."

Multiple sessions will be held during the evening so parents with more than one child can meet with all of their teachers.
