Missouri volleyball team completes nonconference play with a victory

The Missouri volleyball team defeated American University on Saturday evening in Washington, D.C. The Tigers dropped a hard-fought first set but rallied to win 26-28, 25-18, 25-20, 25-18.
The Tigers improved to 13-3 on the season and finished 2-1 in this weekend's American Classic.
Lisa Henning was named to the all-tournament team along with Brittney Brimmage. Henning led the Tigers offensively with 19 kills. Freshman Whitney Little had a career-best 11 kills.
The Tigers' back row recorded 75 digs. Senior Priscilla Armendariz led with 16 digs, and four other Tigers posted double-digit digs.
Missouri will start Big 12 Conference play with a road contest against Iowa State.
